PVC products are different from soft and hard. For hard PVC products, it is impossible to melt and form without processing additives, but for soft PVC products, it is difficult to form without or lacking processing additives.
Some manufacturers often use PVC plastic lubricants such as PE wax and oleic acid amide to increase fluidity because they use single-screw extrusion to granulate soft PVC products. Improve the surface stickiness problem of PVC products, because PVC plastic lubricants such as PE wax and oleic acid amide are low-molecular lubricants, which are easy to precipitate, resulting in insufficient surface finish of PVC products and excessive surface stickiness.
In order to solve the surface finish and viscosity problems of PVC products, it is recommended to use polymer plastic lubricants. In recent years, polymer silicone powder lubricants have become an indispensable processing additive in every plastic processing process. Silicone powder can be evenly dispersed during processing and combined with the substrate. Because the polymer is soft and stable, it will not precipitate during processing.
But compared with other low-molecular lubricants, the price of silicone powder is relatively high, but the dosage is only about 0.3%-1%. Many manufacturers may feel that the unit price is a bit high, but the dosage of low-molecular lubricants is much higher than that of low-molecular lubricants. After adding a small amount of silicone powder, it can not only reduce costs, but also effectively increase the output of high-quality products. Manufacturers also need to use polymer silicone powder lubricants in combination with their own costs.
